Upcoming events:

  • Items needed for Heritage Manor Christmas mission: We need men’s and women’s new socks, as well as hygiene items such as bar soap, lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. No liquids are allowed. We can also use monetary donations for purchasing other items. We have just about enough hats and gloves. (See Amy or Linda)
  • Operation Christmas Child Boxes are due today!
  • BEEHIVE the Musical! – Encore performance of Wilson High School’s production of “Beehive” by Page Hardison, at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Performance will take place today, (November 17), at 2:00 pm. Free admission. See flyer in front foyer for more information.
  • SAVE THE DATE: Craft /Vendor show here at Ransomville UMC, December 1, 2019 – during the annual Festival of Wreaths. Time: 12:30 – 4:30 pm. Baked goods will be needed to be sold at the show. See flyer in front foyer
  • December 29, Fifth Sunday Worship Service will be held at North Ridge UMC, at 11:00 am. Coffee Hour will precede the service at 10:00 am.
  • Women’s Bible Study is on Tuesday’s, at 11:00 am, in the nursery.

Announcements for October 20, 2019

  • November 9th will be our next coffee house.  It will be “open-mic” which means we are looking for local kids and adults to sing or play a song or two.  If you have a neighbor, family member or friend who would like to perform, please have them call Amy at 523-7304. It does not have to be Christian music as long as it is “family-friendly”.

 

  • It’s time to start collecting for the Heritage Manor Christmas mission. Announcements for October 6, 2019

-Administrative Board Meeting will be this Tuesday (October 8) at 7:00 pm at the church.

-Coffee House this Saturday night – 7:00 pm:  featuring Gregory Lee of the Mission Band, a Christian band who regularly performs at coffee house and other local events.  he is also the worship leader at The Chapel.  Please help us spread the word – we hope to have a good turnout.

-The Ransomville United Methodist Women (UMW) will met at Shirley Schroeder’s home on Wednesday, October 16, at 1:00 pm.

-Pendleton Center United Methodist Church will be holding a series of fall fish fries:  October 18, Oct. 25, and November 1, 2019.  Fish, shrimp or chicken dinners available.  For additional information, please see flyer in front foyer.

-Women’s Bible Study is on Tuesday’s at 11:00 am, in the nursery.

Coffee House October 12, 2019

The Ransomville United Methodist Church (next to the Post Office) will be having a coffee house on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Gregory Lee, worship leader at the Chapel at Crosspoint, and lead singer of the Mission Band, will perform contemporary Christian music. Please join us for a relaxing, family friendly evening of good music, tasty snacks and fellowship!

Announcements for September 22, 2019

  • Fillmore Chapel and the Ransomville Baptist Church will hold a joint evening service this Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ransomville Baptist Church.
  • 5th Sunday service will be held here at the Ransomville United Methodist Church on September 29.   Coffee hour will be at 10:00 a.m. with church service following at 11:00 a.m.

-The United Methodist Women (UMW) will meet Wednesday, September 18, at 1:00pm., here at the church.

-North Ridge United Methodist Women will be hosting their annual Autumn Gathering-Tea, Desserts, Baskets, Crafters and Vendors on Saturday September 28, 12:00 noon-2:00 pm. See flyer in front foyer for further info.

Announcements for Sept. 8, 2019

• Women’s Bible Study will resume this Tuesday, September 10, at: 11:00 am – here at the church. We will be studying the Book of James. Please join us for a time of sharing, prayer and Bible study.

• The coffee house ministry will begin this Saturday (September 14th) at 7:00 pm., FEATURING Singer Kelly Bourque of the Chapel at Crosspoint. Pizza $1.00 a slice and snacks, baked goods and drinks for 50 cents. Board Games, connect with your community, relax and enjoy! Next dates include October 12th featuring Sydney Driggs – Spot Coffee singer, and November 9th for open mic. Call Amy at 523-7304 to reserve open mic slots. Free Addiction Workshop

Dementia Respite Care

Immaculate Conception Church in Ransomville is now offering Alzheimer’s/Dementia Respite Care to support families caring for a loved one suffering from any form of dementia.  This is a free service for the community.  Program begins on September 12, from 10: am-2:00 pm.  For more information, call (716) 731-4822.
